General Terms of Sale

1. Scope

These General Terms of Sale govern every quote, order and installation performed by Housing Energy BVBA (hereinafter "Housing Energy") for the supply and installation of photovoltaic panels, inverters and optional storage batteries for residential customers in the Benelux.

2. Quote & acceptance

Each quote is valid for 90 days from its issue date. The customer accepts the quote via electronic signature compliant with Regulation eIDAS (EU) 910/2014, art. 25. This signature has the same legal value as a handwritten signature. After signing, the customer benefits from a 14-calendar-day consumer right of withdrawal (Directive EU 2011/83).

3. Prices & payment

All prices are in EUR, VAT included at the applicable rate (NL 0 %, BE 6 %, LU 3 % on residential < 10 kWp; statutory rates may change). Payment terms:

30 % down payment upon signing the quote
Balance upon completion of the installation
Payment by bank transfer to the IBAN shown on the invoice using the payment reference
Payment term: 30 days from invoice date
Late payment incurs statutory interest and collection costs

4. Lead time

Installation is scheduled within 4 to 8 weeks of receipt of the down payment. Housing Energy proactively informs the customer of any delays (stock shortages, weather conditions, grid operator planning).

5. Delivery & installation

The customer undertakes to:

Provide free access to the roof and electrical panel on the agreed installation day
Have a valid connection to the electricity grid
Obtain any required administrative permits (Housing Energy advises and assists)

Housing Energy handles the grid operator connection, compliance check and commissioning.

6. Warranties

Photovoltaic panels: manufacturer warranty up to 25 years on power output (depending on model)
Inverter: manufacturer warranty 10 to 12 years
Battery: manufacturer warranty 10 years
Installation work: 2-year warranty on workmanship (statutory consumer guarantee)

All warranty documents are handed over upon completion.

7. Right of withdrawal

The consumer has 14 calendar days from signing the quote to withdraw without stating a reason. The standard withdrawal form is attached to the confirmation email. If withdrawal occurs after work has started, the services already performed remain due.

8. Liability

Housing Energy's liability is limited to the amount of the relevant order. Indirect damages (loss of production, loss of use) are excluded, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Force majeure

Housing Energy is not liable in cases of force majeure: exceptional weather, strike, supplier shortage, grid operator delay, pandemic, war. The lead time is then suspended.

10. Data protection

The customer's personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679).

11. Disputes & applicable law

This contract is governed by Dutch law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent court of Maastricht. Belgian consumers may free of charge seize the Consumer Mediation Service in Belgium.

12. Changes

Housing Energy reserves the right to amend these Terms. The version in effect on the day of signing applies to the relevant order.
